About LVLs.

LVLs. was originally created back on August 6th, 2001 as Wildcat Online, a personal website run by Jerry Fieldsted, otherwise known as Wildcat (surprise!). Its purpose way back when was to share and express things of personal interest to me, and the site has maintained that path ever since (although the things I had placed on the site have changed immensely). In mid-2006 I made a decision to split off a section of my webspace to devote into my love of video games, which I had dubbed Lvl. Focusing on reviews, various features and some art galleries for my favorite games, Lvl. quickly grew into becoming the heart and soul of my website. Lvl. officially took over Wildcat Online in 2008, and I added a staffer, Nester, to help aid me in writing a multitude of articles. Following the Jeff Gerstmann Gamespot fiasco, I decided that our Review section would be renamed Opinions, for that is what they truly are, in an attempt to break out of the mold of reviews that are seemingly strapped to some bigwig company’s cash flow. Early in 2009 I grew frustrated with the limited space that I had been confined with for 8 years with no change in sight, and made the decision to relocate Lvl. to WordPress. With that change comes many improvements, namely that Lvl.’s previous games-only format was no longer required. I love books with a passion, and also enjoy anime and music. Why limit myself to only one of the elements that drive my life? And thus, LVLs. was created. Over the three years since its founding we’ve had a few others join, including TEi, grace, Jason X and Camabyte. LVLs. will continue producing independent content that reflect individual opinions. We will give our honest views, no matter how others may think, on games, books, and other subjects of interest to our staff. That is the founding principle of this site. Thanks for coming to LVLs., and I hope you’ll be a frequent visitor to our blog.

LVLs. was born from the ashes of NEOMEGA.NET & QUARTER-TURN.NET. Your time was cut short. But your legacies still burn in the hearts of those who knew you. Rest in Peace, old friends.
